eInfochips world's top design service firm

AHMEDABAD, INDIA: eInfochips, a technology design services company, today announced that analyst firm Gartner Inc, in a report published in Oct 2009, rated eInfochips as top chip design service provider worldwide for 2008, based on revenue/design index in the research note 'Competitive Landscape: Chip Design Outsourcing Services'.

eInfochips was one of the 40 companies worldwide, evaluated for the report which focused on the number of outsourced design starts comprising front end full-chip custom block and application, back-end process node and application, verification and design support across geographies, said a press release.

Developed by Gartner analysts as an assessment of the competitive landscape of chip service providers, the research report features the top 10 companies based on their average revenue per design ratio, which is a normalized index derived to protect the confidential revenue and design start data. eInfochips has obtained a normalized index of 62, leading by far from its nearest competitor, said the release.

Five of the world’s top 10 semiconductor companies worldwide are eInfochips’ customers, the release added.
