On Thursday night, EgyptAir changed its usual Blue-and-White Twitter and Facebook logo to a sombre Black one, with the background being a photo of grey clouds with MS804 written in black.

The change took place a day after the flight from Paris to Cairo with 66 people aboard on it went missing. The plane is believed to have crashed into the Mediterranean Sea. The cause of the disappearance remains unknown whilst reports from EgyptAir stating that the plane’s debris have been found have proven to be incorrect.

An official passenger list has not been released, but, according to CNN, the victims include 30 Egyptian, 15 French, two Canadian, one Australian-British, one Algerian, one Iraqi, one Kuwaiti, one Chadian, one Sudanese, and one Saudi. Three children were aboard the flight.

The change in EgyptAir’s logo on various social media platforms is in honour of the victims of the tragic accident.
