Educomp ties up with Maharashtra govt

MUMBAI, INDIA: Educomp Solutions Ltd. on Monday said it has received a letter of intent (LoI) from the Maharashtra government for the implementation of Rs.67.93 crore worth ICT schools Project-Phase2 in Nasik and Latur.

The project will cover as many as 540 secondary and higher secondary schools covering class V to XII, said a press release. 

With this project, its ICT Division Edureach's existing portfolio increased to 11,090 schools under ICT implementation across India.

The project would be implemented in Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model for a period of five years, including supply and maintenance of computer hardware, software and lab accessories, provision for computer faculty in each school and training of school teachers every year, the release added.

It would also cover the provision of computer educational services, including deploying and running school management software, multimedia educational software as per-state board curriculum, providing computer education, courses on spoken English communication skills, safe usage of internet and awareness on cybercrime.
