GLASGOW, UK: EducationalAppStore.com, rates and reviews learning applications, and its findings are designed to make it easier for parents, teachers and students to find apps to suit their needs. Finding those apps will be even simpler as the new version of the EAS app was launched on Google Play, and will soon be in the App Store.

The educational apps market is one that's certainly growing, with more than 150000 apps out there, it's becoming more difficult for people to choose which apps suit their needs. EAS uses a community of reviewers, which includes parents, teachers and students, to evaluate educational apps, measuring each one against a set of pedagogical criteria and academic research through the EAS Rubric.

The review team awards each app a rating out of five stars as part of the EAS Certification process, and a selection of apps are given reviews of up to 500 words. Apps are promoted on the site based on their educational content. To make it even easier to find an app, EAS also categorises the apps it reviews by age and subject matter- including Art and Music, English Language, Maths, and student and teacher tools.

The EAS app can be used by anyone with an Android device, but the service that it provides is something that's most relevant to parents looking for educational apps for their children and students and teachers looking for learning apps to use in the classroom.
