According to the latest developments, the Education Ministry will announce the exam dates for NEET 2021 soon. The Education Minister, in conversation with Times of India, has stated that the department is considering the possibility of an additional attempt for NEET 2021 this year. Without divulging any specifics, he said that the Health and Education Ministry along with NTA has mulled over the topic. Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal also asserted that he will announce the NEET 2021 dates soon.

A simple trend click shows that students have been demanding the NEET exam dates. Students all over the country are in a fix due to the uncertainty over the medical exam. Students are eagerly waiting for the exam dates along with demand for the online exam, two times this year.

According to an interview with India TV. NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi said that they are actively consulting with the Health Ministry on both aspects. One, the exam dates and online holding; second, the possibility of conducting it two times. The NTA Director General further said that they will announce the NEET exam date as early as possible. According to various reports, the ministry could take another week or two, to announce the NEET 2021 exam date. The NTA will commence the registration for NEET 2021 in online soon at ntaneet.nic.in or nta.ac.in. Only the eligible candidates can register for the medical entrance test.

Eligibility for NEET 2021

With amendments in 2018 for NEET 2021 eligibility criteria, NTA removed the restrictions on the number of attempts for NEET. Thus, there is no restriction on the number of attempts for NEET 2021. So, as per the NEET 2021 eligibility criteria, candidates will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam as many times as they would like to only if they are eligible.

The basic eligibility requires that students have 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology in their Class 12 or HSC examination.

On NEET 2021 syllabus

The Education Ministry in an official statement said that the syllabus for NEET (2021) will not change. However, given the reduction of the syllabus by some boards across the country, it has been decided to provide internal choice to students for the topics removed. Further, the exam will not be too difficult. He also said that the students will get an additional chance, the Minister of Education assured.
