Edimax unveils wireless 3G router

BANGALORE, INDIA: Edimax Technology, a global manufacturer of a broad range of networking and connectivity solutions introduces its 3G-6200n; a multifunction wireless 3G broadband router.

This router offers the flexibility to share either a 3G/3.5G connection or a XDSL/Cable connection with all network users. The 3G-6200n features a built-in Ethernet WAN port to connect a cable or xDSL modem and a USB 2.0 port for UMTS/HSDPA mobile Internet services or printer sharing.

Connected to a 3G USB modem card, the router enables users to share a 3G connection with data rates up to 7.2 Mbps. When connected to an xDSL or cable modem it supports data rates up to 150 Mbps.

Within the EZView interface users can manage the router locally or remotely through the Internet. The router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) technology which enables users to set up advanced wireless security, simply by pushing the pairing button on the router.
