Edimax launches dual-band, 300Mbps, Wi-Fi extender

BANGALORE, INDIA: Edimax Technology has launched EW-7238RPD N300+, a 300Mbps, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Wi-Fi extender.

EW-7238RPD is IEEE802.11a/b/g/n standards based device, compatible with any wireless router or access point.

It comes with an in-built Ethernet port, and features IEEE802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to regulate power supply to an Ethernet data link based on usage, also comes with configuration options to disable the extender's LEDs and a power switch and has WPA/WPA2 encryption.
