The new offshore development model allows ECS to offer its high quality software development services at even lower costs, making IT outsourcing a critical management tool essential to improving return on investment.

The ECS offshore development center resides in Millennium Park in Mumbai and is approximately 18,000 square feet. Contingency plans are in place for systems, data, people, communications and location.

ECS has created an offshore development model strong in customer communications and development frameworks. In an effort to provide seamless and transparent operations, the project management is slated to reside in the US with resilient onsite offshore management teams complementing the leadership role. Effective communication between US and India teams is a primary focus of ECS' development strategy and success.

"ECS believes that outsourcing is a process, not an event," said ECS president Shekhar Iyer. "ECS has a reputation for delivering high quality software solutions and this will continue to be the case. In order to remain competitive in today's market, offshore just makes the most sense," he added.

Some benefits of the ECS offshore development model include 30 percent-50 percent cost savings, productivity enhancement, faster turnaround times, world class infrastructure, large pool of high quality resources, high quality results, 24/7 operations, free resources, and the ability to focus on core operations.
