ECI Telecom opens new regional biz unit

NEW DELHI, INDIA: ECI Telecom, provider of networking infrastructure, today announced that it has created a new regional business unit (RBU) to encompass India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Kiran Pande, the current manager of the Indian country office will head the new unit.

ECI said in a release that ECI's operations in the region have been growing steadily for the past few years and this move reflects the growing importance of these countries for the company.

"Our strategy in this region has been to grow with our customers, as partners. I am sure Kiran will continue the excellent job he started in India, and lead us in Sri Lanka and Nepal," said Aviel Tenenbaum, executive vice president, Global Sales and Marketing, at ECI Telecom.

Pande has been ECI's country manager for the past five years, where he oversaw the company's marketing and business development operations in these countries.
