While companies including Acer and Intex have already set up their service centers in east Delhi (Trans Yamuna) region upon the association's request, Samsung has not considered the demands for a service center in the east region. Samsung has extended the concept of mobile service van that looks into service issues of channel partners in the region.

Elaborating on the same, Pawan Walecha, VP, EDCA mentioned, “Every time there is a service issue including warranty, dead on arrival and other such related service problems we have to travel to Nehru Place in order to get the products replaced and issues sorted out. While all the major companies have their service center at Nehru Place, Wazirpur and Janakpuri, they are yet to extend the same facility to dealers in the east. We have resolved to hold a meeting with all the members of the association and will accordingly meet the vendors and place our demands before them.”

More than 300 resellers are operating in the east Delhi region. While Acer has opened its service center in east around a month back, the association is also discussing the matter with Asus and Gigabyte.

Ravikant Gupta, President, EDCA stated, “There are innumerable service cases that crop up every month and we have to direct our customers to Nehru Place and other areas. There have been instances when the customers do not get apt solutions and in such case they come to us for assistance that further adds to our costs. Keeping the same in mind and in order to ensure enhanced and better services for our customers we have resolved to approach the prominent players and will request them to establish a service center in east as well.”
