The contract is worth NT$210 million (US$6.5 million) and is to be completed by the end of 2010.

On an 88 acre Springerville, Arizona site, TEP is setting up a PV power-generating station which has a total installation capacity of 8MWp. A 4.6MWp system is already operating at the site. According to E-Ton, GIH will supply PV modules for the project using E-Ton solar cells.

This is Adema's third PV contract in Arizona. In June 2010, the company has already signed a NT$250 million EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contract with US-based food maker Frito-Lay to set up a 1.7MWp PV system.

There is also a  NT$450 million EPC contract with US-based Solar Power Partner coming up in late July to set up a 3.3MWp PV system, said sources at E-Ton.
