DVD player from Moser Baer

Moser Baer is known for its ultra- low cost movie DVDs currently flooding the market. But they surprised everyone by also launching a DVD player to play them on. It boasts of tons of features at a surprising low price, and offers impressive performance too.

The slim DVD player has got a small, bright orange display and a completely black body. All the buttons are placed at their usual locations. There are three buttons: eject disc, play/pause and Stop on the front. The Stop button doubles up as the role of the power button too. All the connecting ports including the USB and card reader slots were at the back; though it would have been better to have the USB and SD slot in front for easy access. In terms of performance, this player read everything we threw at it in just 12 seconds flat, be it DVD, dual layer DVD, or a DivX movie on the USB card. The output was astoundingly clear and the device can even play scratched discs smoothly.

The only thing missing was an HDMI port, but at a price of under 3k this is fine. Highly recommended!
