Drushti introduces prepaid hosting pack

PUNE: Drushti Info-Networks Pvt. Ltd, a hosting and security solution provider company, has introduced Insta Host — a prepaid hosting pack. Insta Host, which the company claims is the first of its kind in the country, is a prepaid hosting pack which consists of domain name, web space, POP accounts, SMTP relaying and other web related services.

Said Uday Jain, CEO, Drushti Info Networks Pvt. Ltd, "This is the first time that a solution of this kind is available off the shelf." Insta Host packs are in the form of sealed envelopes, which would have a unique track ID, login identity and password. All the card owner has to do is to log onto the Internet and go to link http://Insta.drushti.co.in and using the login and password provided, a person could instantly activate the required services.

"All this will be done instantly and the process will take a maximum of five minutes. The login and password could be used only once. A totally separate account http://dinpl.com is active for clients to manage the account. Explained Jain, "Insta Host is basically a self service technology." And what are the benefits that accrue to the customer? As the company claims, for the first time, web space, domain and POP mails could be sold across the counter thus making it easy to manage. Moreover, it as a fully automated control panel with very easy to use and self-explanatory features.

The product has been priced between Rs 999 to Rs 7000 depending on the features chosen by customers. The company hopes to sell 1000 packs across the country initially. Drushti has a network of 200 resellers. The product will be sold through this network.

Drushti associates its data center needs with VSNL and IDC. VSNL’s main gateway centers are located at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. The Pune data center has a capacity to accommodate 300 rack- mounted servers.

The company is currently working on another product namely Private Brand Host — aimed at companies wishing to start hosting companies.

Private Brand Hosting offers an entire automated system. This also includes the feature of pocket mailing — the Drushti web mail, which is a Linux based mailing system. This internal mailing system also acts as a disaster recovery system. Some of the customers include Neilsoft, Sudarshan Chemicals, Manikchand, Rathi group and Maharashtra Road Carriers.
