Door step service for channels

CHENNAI, INDIA:Chennai-based multi-brand laptop service provider The Support Shop has offered to provide door-to-door delivery to the channels in terms of service. The company has three hardcore service engineers to take care of the service portfolio.


On floating the assistance exclusively for the service part, G Vinod, MD, The Support Shop said, “The laptop servicing was an unorganized area and there has been no exclusive service provider in Chennai to take care of laptops’

post-warranty period. Currently our focus is on retailers and SIs, who are completely dependent on the vendors for the services.”

Claiming that laptops have been repository of personal data, Vinod said, “Customers are pretty apprehensive in sharing their personal data as there are no professional players whom they can rely on. The Support Shop is an entity created with the idea to give the customers a professional approach in handling sensitive data,” he claimed.

Vinod claimed that their service center is highly systematic in terms of the process and has almost all spares to fulfill the requirement of supporting any service aspect of all the laptops. The company is also planning to open branches in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh before the end of FY 2008.
