DMMS for enterprise networks

Features: Network specialist Ciena Corporation has

launched Data Migration Managed Service (DMMS), a short-term solution for

enterprise data migration built around its CN 2000 Storage Extension Platform

and ON-Center Network Management Suite.






DMMS provides enterprises with a short-term rental of two or more CN 2000
platforms and ON-Center network management technology, and includes

installation, maintenance and de-installation of all hardware and software, as

well as 24/7 technical support. The solution is available directly from Ciena,

through ComSource and also from EMC Corporation.






The service allows enterprises to use Ciena's hardware, software licenses and
programming resources without incurring the cost of ownership. The service also

allows organizations to evaluate Ciena's storage extension technology and

management on a short term basis prior to purchasing new platforms.
