New Update

BANGALORE: The new, Hop-on cell phone promises disposable, recyclable cell phone technology regardless of age, income or credit status. This cell phone comes with 60 minutes of prepaid calling time, with no contracts, long-distance charges or other fees. When your talk time is over, you can add more minutes. Because the phone is recyclable, you can return the phone to Hop-on for a $5 rebate certificate, or simply discard it.

For now, however, this phone is functional only in the US. The Hop-on phone can be used to both make and receive calls, and it features a one-touch emergency call button. And for extended talk times, the phone features a rechargeable battery and a convenient battery charger. The Hop-on cell phone comes equipped with an earbud/microphone for hands-free operation.

The idea of a disposable phone is similar to the single-use cameras sold to shutterbugs who had either forgotten to pack in their cameras or do not own one. The Hop-on phone is ideal for kids, teens, seniors, travelers, or anyone on the go who wants the convenience and security of a cell phone, without the burden and hassle of a conventional cellular commitment.
