DishnetDSL appoints Tivoli Systems for ESM

NEW DELHI: DishnetDSL has appointed Tivoli Systems Inc., an IBM company to

provide Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) to monitor network, server

management and applications at DishnetDSL.

The ESM solution will cover DishnetDSL's nationwide infrastructure spanning over
42 cities and

more than 200 towns. With this DishnetDSL becomes the first ISP in India to

go for end-to-end solution with this tool.

Once implemented this tool will enhance the performance levels of DishnetDSL

and ensure minimum down time. This tool will help the monitoring of the network

and services and troubleshooting from a few chosen locations. This comes as a

part of DishnetDSL initiative to invest in technology to bring better and

stronger products to its customers.

This tool is expected to take DishnetDSL one step closer to giving Service

Level Agreement (SLA) to its clients, as this will help DishnetDSL become more

of a process oriented organization.

Key feature of the ESM is that it will help in right sizing the

Hardware/Software needs of the DishnetDSL; enter into proactive mode of

management of the technical resources and services.

Commenting on the procurement DishnetDSL Chief Operating Officer V Srinivasan

said, "This is a move towards pro active management to satisfy customer

needs".
