PASADENA, USA: Today, DiscountASP.NET, a leading innovator in Windows Server 2008 hosting, invites Visual Studio 2010 beta 1 users to experience next-generation web application packaging and deployment scenarios using the free MsDeploy sandbox hosting platform.

The free sandbox hosting platform was originally introduced to allow developers to get early experience with the Microsoft Web Deployment Tool (MsDeploy). In March 2009, the sandbox hosting program was updated and extended to June 30, 2009 with the latest Web Deployment Tool RC1.

With the general availability of Visual Studio 2010 beta 1 from May 20, 2009, developers can now test features such as web application packaging, web.config file transformation, database deployment and One-Click publishing with the live hosting environment of the sandbox.

"As a hoster, we hear from our customers that deploying web applications is not always easy. But with the next-generation development tools, Microsoft has invested in easing the application deployment experience," said Takeshi Eto, VP Marketing and Business Development at DiscountASP.NET.

"So now with the beta 1 release of VS2010, we want to extend an invitation to the community to experience end-to-end application deployment using VS2010 on our free sandbox hosting platform. There are still available accounts and time left to test one-click deployment," added Eto.

The free sandbox hosting program is a limited program offered as an open beta on a first come first serve basis. The beta hosting account comes with 50 MB of disk space and 50 MB of SQL Server 2008 database space.
