The new DisplayPort Extender over 2 LC Fibers delivers high resolution video in the DisplayPort format up to 300 meters (984 ft.) in distance. Small sender and receiver modules are connected by two LC-terminated, multi-mode fiber optic cables supporting video resolutions up to 2560x1600 with full HDCP, 3DTV and DPCP support.

A key benefit of using fiber optic cabling is its resistance against EMI (electromagnetic interference). With Gefen's DisplayPort Extender over 2LC Fibers, galvanic isolation is inherent while the cast aluminum enclosures also contribute to its performance. Both protective features make this extender ideally suited for use in medical applications and other sensitive environments.

Gefen's DisplayPort Extender over 2LC Fibers includes two small enclosures that can easily be installed at local and remote locations. Installation is plug and play easy, requiring connections between the sender unit and the source, and the receiver unit and the extended display. Sender and receiver are connected by multimode fiber optic cable with content transmitted instantly.
