LOS ANGELES, USA: Digital Foci, creator of Picture Porter Advanced has launched a campaign entitled, Picture Porter- Essential Digital Photo Manager, to raise $63,000 by December 14, 2013 (9:33 pm PST).
Funding is needed to complete the device's production by implementing final firmware testing and creating tooling for the housing design. Pre-tested as FCC and CE compliant, this third generation Picture Porter is designed to replace or complement current picture and video handling tools.
Managing pictures can become an overwhelming task as they eat up memory on computers, phones, and tablets. Picture Porter Advanced makes organizing digital pictures easier than ever.
Charles Huang, chief designer of the Picture Porter Advanced, said: "This device will change the way people back up, protect, organize, view, and share all of their digital photos. It is designed to improve every aspect of one's photo management routine."
Picture Porter Advanced boasts a 5" TFT-LCD screen, up to 1 TB of storage via hard disk drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD), and USB connectors for devices ranging from laptops to USB flash drives and external hard drives.
Photographers will benefit from the unit's compatibility with a wide variety of picture cards like CF (including UDMA), SD/SDHC/SDXC and microSD, no adapter necessary. Also, a HDMI connection for output to televisions or monitors makes viewing on a large screen possible.
In order to finalize Picture Porter Advanced, Digital Foci needs help. Sixteen support levels have been created with early bird contributors receiving the best deals. For example, a $299 contribution gets the donor a 500 GB HDD model; a $1199 pledge gets the contributor the ultimate, 1 TB SSD device.
