BANGALORE, INDIA: That's what Jiglu proposes to do! While going along sites on LinkReferral, I came across some really wonderful blogs. One was on all about computers, another on yet-to-be-released gadgets, and a third one on tech -- hosting a variety of stuff, including how tos, computers, software, reviews, etc. On the third site, I stumbled upon Jiglu!

Now, I have installed this piece of software on my blog, just to test what it can really do! Jiglu is being marketed or rather positioned as a super-smart engine that pieces your site together, intelligently tagging and linking your Web content. It simply says on the site -- Tags That Think! Interesting. It can determine tag clouds on your blog, intelligently!

Web publishing, rather, blogging, or simply Web 2.0, or if you would, search engine, or site-defined engines have really come on in a major way. Given the pace of development, it is indeed difficult to keep pace with all of these interesting Web developments. Great software is being written by talented developers the world over. I find my own blog an interesting place to test the waters.

When I clicked on the topics list, Jiglu has thrown up 284 tags! As I'm writing this, it has managed to list 79 topics and eight people as well!! Now, all of this has been done by this software within minutes of my registering on the site. Astounding! Maybe, it will give me a very good idea of tag clouds to use for this blog, and other blogs and sites that I manage.

The simple signing up procedure is what compelled me to register! This is a trend that Web developers and Web sites need to keep in mind. KEEP IT SIMPLE, STILL (KISS). All you need to do is to enter your blog's URL and then automatically tag any blog. Install the widget, sit back, and let it create all those tags for your site. Perhaps, it will also help pull up blogs written quite some time back, as it says that it can do so. Which is great!

It is always a pleasure to spend time on the Web looking up all of the great things that people are developing, and later, trying that out. It is a wonderful learning experience for me at least, and it drives me to share my experiences with you.
