Did Google violate promise to China?

In response to Google moving the operations of its Chinese search engine to Hong Kong and changing the website from Google.cn to Google.com.hk, China has accused Google of violating its "written promise" and said it is "totally wrong" for stopping the censoring of its Chinese language search engine results and blaming China for alleged hacker attacks.

Do you think Google has violated the promise? Do you think the move on the part of Google is justified? Is it right on the part of the Chinese big brother to force the search giant to self censor its Chinese contents?

Does this indicate the media in China have no freedom of expression?
