Did cybercriminals target Anil Ambani's email?

MUMBAI, INDIA: In a case of what could be a high-profile hacking attempt, the email account of Anil Ambani was reportedly targeted by some unidentified people and the police is investigating whether someone actually got access to his account.

The incident, dating back to May 8, revolves around an email apparently sent from the email ID of a reporter with Bloomberg, but when Reliance ADAG contacted the reporter concerned, it was found that the reporter had not sent any such mail, said media reports.

Even though reports said that the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police is investigating the case, when contacted by CyberMedia the officials refused to divulge any details and said that no such case has been filed.
