Dell''s Gurgaon center set for rapid expansion

BANGALORE: Dell’s fourth customer contact center located in Gurgaon is set for rapid expansion to 2,500 employees with the inauguration of its new facility in the near future.  Dell has customer contact centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Mohali that are part of a 50-site global customer contact network.

Operations in Dell’s customer contact center in Gurgaon began in June this year. The permanent facility is under construction and operations will shift to this facility once completed. The customer contact center at Gurgaon is Dell’s fourth in the country. Currently, the center employs around 800 people. In the first phase of operations, this number is expected to grow to around 2,500 employees. The first phase in the new facility will cover an area of around 300,000 sq ft.

Romi Malhotra, managing director, Dell International Services said: “Dell is committed to delivering the best value by providing the best experience to our customers. As our business grows globally, there is a constant need to increase our global services network to support our customers.”

“Growth in India is an integral part of Dell’s strategy,” Deepak Gulati, site director, Dell Gurgaon said. “The new facility in Gurgaon will play a significant role in enhancing customer experience even while we scale up our operations in the country.”

The customer contact center at Gurgaon currently handles three processes:

- Technical support for Dell’s customers in the US.

- Technical support for Dell’s customers in EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa).

- Product sales to customers in EMEA.

More processes will be added after operations shift to the permanent facility.
