Dell to start new BPO center in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Dell Computer corporation has announced that it would start its Hyderabad operations at the Cyber Tower in Hitech city. The company would occupy three floors at the cyber tower and the facility would be used as a back office operations unit for Dell.



"The facility will be inaugurated in the first week of March and Panduit is going to provide the datacom communication products for the facility," said, Mandar Karmarkar, Datacom Sales Specialist at Panduit’s Hyderabad operations.



The facility would house more than 1,000 software and hardware professionals. "Yes the cost plays a vital role in setting up the operations for any big company and the fact that Hyderabad has a ready to occupy infrastructure makes it more viable for these companies to look at having their operations based over here. Dell contract is worth more than $ 60,000 for Panduit and it will include providing all the passive networking and structured cabling solutions for its operations over here," he added.



 



The facility would have more than 3,000 network points including points for voice and data communications and Network Solutions is likely to facilitate the execution of the project for Dell over here. Sources close to the official machinery in AP say that Dell is also looking forward to having its own campus based in Hyderabad but it would take sometime.
