Dell initiates consumer support in India

MUMBAI, INDIA: Dell, today announced the launch of an exclusive Dell consumer service centers in Bangalore and Delhi.

Through this launch, the company plans to expand its service roadmap to 15 centers with a pan India footprint covering other major metros and tier 2 cities.

This is integral to Dell’s consumer services and support strategy enabling Dell to offer more choice and flexibility to our customers.

The launch has been significant for Dell as India is one of the first few countries where Dell has started its service centers allowing customers to walk in for requirements with technical support, said a press release.

This is an option that customers can exercise in addition to the in home (onsite) warranty, thus improving the ownership experience of their Dell products.

“At Dell, we are constantly working on new initiatives to serve our customers better,” said Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, vice president, Global Consumer Services and Support and managing director, Dell International Services.

“Apart from providing in-home onsite assistance to our customers for technical problems, we have now evolved our service model to include Dell Service Centres. Customers, in addition to getting their issues resolved, can also choose from a wide range of value added services,”  he added.

 Customers in over 600 locations across India will be covered through these centers.

Dell consumer service centers would enhance Dell’s service capability into value added services like DataSafe, DellonCall, Online Training and PC TuneUp, said the release.

The company would offer its customers the choice to buy Warranty extensions/ upgrades, Parts and other VAS from these service centers.
