He is Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, president and managing director of Dell India, whose formula for success gyrates around ethics, pure professionalism and plain simplicity.

An MBA from the University of Michigan, Ganesh can be called a true corporate leader as he has led Dell’s evolution from a hardware leader to the top solutions provider in the Indian market and is working towards developing Dell India to be the engine for Dell’s global growth.

Ganesh joined Dell in 1999 and has held increasing responsibilities in various geographies, functions, and segments. He was instrumental in starting Dell’s operations in India ten years ago and led the planning and start-up of the first contact center at Bangalore in 2001.

Before joining Dell, Ganesh worked in the consulting industry for eight years. He completed  BS in computer science and engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India.

If you are thinking that Ganesh is completely preoccupied with Dell, you could be wrong. He is a voracious reader of ancient history and Tamil literature. And enjoys playing badminton too.

Ganesh is an elected member in the NASSCOM executive council which is the industrial body for Indian IT/ITES sector. He is also in the executive council of FICCI which is the largest industry body in India.
