Dell's software-defined networking approach was built on Dell Networking core switches, Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell PowerVault storage. The solution enabled IIHT to simplify network complexity by 90 per cent while it expanded its curricular, scaled up delivery to match global demand and improved its pricing model.

IIHT delivers a range of courses within their 200 India-based training centers and provides outsourced e-learning programs to enterprise customers located across 19 countries. A critical challenge was to keep pace with the latest software versions and required infrastructure in line with growing market demands. IIHT required a highly scalable and effective cloud solution to help it meet this challenge.

A public cloud platform was needed in order to cope with a 65 percent spurt in customer base and spiraling costs associated with IT training delivery. With the cloud model requiring 1,000 servers in the data center, reducing port density was critical. IIHT needed an agile partner that was ahead of the market to ensure its leadership in Learning as-a-Service solutions.

Built on the combined strengths of Dell's Networking, Server and storage capabilities the solution allows IIHT's clients to build their own training programs without having to operate a private cloud. Dell was the chosen partner for its ability to reduce overall port density by 75 percent and switching environment by 90 percent.

Dell's innovations in Active Fabric and Z9000 switches enabled these critical requirements. To ensure continuous uptime for internal training centers and corporate clients, Dell ProSupport's Next Business Day Service was deployed for the cloud solution.
