The new integration, developed jointly by the two companies, will further streamline NuoDB functionality in the cloud by automating numerous tasks such as connection management, memory monitoring, trigger creation/editing and improving visibility of the NuoDB database in cloud-based deployments.

"NuoDB provides several features we were unable to find in any other database. DropShip is also a DbVis customer," stated Scott Lemon, CTO, DropShip Commerce. "To have the two solutions well integrated gives us the strong SQL functionality and elastic scalability we derive from NuoDB along with all the well-documented management features we appreciate in DbVisualizer. This combination makes our cloud deployment substantially easier."

"The DbVisualizer integration features the ability to fully visualize the unique, distributed aspects of NuoDB. So, for example, when a customer deploys NuoDB across multiple Amazon EC2 regions, he can use the DbVisualizer Processes DBA View, to quickly see all the hosts and geographies where that single, logical database is deployed," stated Adam Abrevaya, NuoDB vice president, Engineering.

"DbVisualizer works with all the common DBMS platforms on the market. We are pleased to add NuoDB, with its strong SQL support and cloud capabilities, to our roster of popular database solutions," stated Christer Wilsby, director of marketing, DbVis Software.
