Dax launches IOLAN Secure Console Servers

CHENNAI, INDIA: Dax Networks, a networking company in India, in partnership with serial and I/O connectivity solutions provider Perle, is launching IOLAN Secure Console Servers, the company said today.

According to a press release, an IOLAN Secure Console Server, priced at Rs 1,23,880, comes with advanced security functionality to perform secure remote data centre management and helps IT managers reduce costs and cut downtime.

IOLAN Secure Console Servers (SCS) will enable administrators to securely access remote serial console ports on equipment such as private branch exchange (PBX), servers, routers, LAN switches, UPS, network storage equipment and security appliances through an IP network.

IOLAN SCS help administrators to manage the data centre anytime 24X7 at remote and central sites, the company said. It gives access to console port of multiple devices using single IP link (LAN/ WAN).

Commenting on the product, Subashini Prabhakar, chief technology manager, Dax Networks said, “Dax is keen to leverage its strategic partner Perle’s dominance on serial to IP product solutions worldwide. The focus on IOLAN SCS is a precursor to the launch of Dax’s Data Acquisition and Device Management Solutions in India.”
