Dax eyes SMB segment with DX-945ARO

MUMBAI: Dax Networks targets the SMB segment for its DX-945ARO,a wireless LAN router with advanced security.

DX-945ARO is an IEEE 802.11g/b Wireless Access Point with Routing function and it features transmission speed up to 54 Mbps and 2.4 GHz frequency band, easily building up the wireless communication with other wireless LAN devices, Dax said in a statement.

Provided with a reverse-polarity SMA connector, the product enables effortless connection to external antenna to extend the wireless distance coverage.

DX-945ARO has an advanced security mechanism. By masking local users' IP address and blocking specific ports, it offers two levels of security. With the integrated firewall and 128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption, it ensures security of the packet flow, allowing multiple users to share one Internet connection while ensuring security of network.

DX-945ARO serves as a DHCP server, which automatically assigns IP address to the devices on the local area network (LAN). It offers roaming feature that can handle the coverage area limitation by using multiple access points in the same network.

DX-945ARO comes with a three-year, carry-in warranty and online support to its customers.

Dax plans to market this product, priced Rs 6140, through its system and network integrators and channel presence comprising 500 solution providers and 5000 resellers.
