New Ubislate7c+ Edge has SIM calling facility, costs Rs 5,999

Aakash tablet maker Datawind, on Tuesday announced the launch of its new tablet - Ubislate7c+ Edge - which has SIM calling facility. The tablet comes with the price tag of Rs 5,999

The new 7 inch tablet supports WiFi and EDGE (2G) for connectivity, however 3G support is possible only through a dongle.

Ubislate7c+ Edge's display has WVGA (800x480) resolution and runs on Android 4.0 operating system. Under the hood comes Cortex A8 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM. The 3200 mAh battery is stated to provide backup time of 4 hours over WiFi.

The Ubislate 7C+ Edge also has a front facing VGA camera and supports up to 32 GB external storage.
