MUMBAI: Datacraft India Ltd, an independent network systems integrator and
e-business enabler, has chalked out four service pillars for growth. The firm
focuses on building and managing Internet infrastructure and implementing online
business solutions and delivering value-add networking services for
telecommunications operators, service providers and corporate customers.
With many traditional service providers across the region aiming to rebalance
their revenue streams by establishing business to business exchanges, OSS/BSS
solutions are in great demand in the market.
In order to help service providers increase their value proposition Datacraft
has launched iBOSS, a new operation support system (OSS) and Business Support
System (BSS), on which they can build the next generation services.
"iBOSS is a comprehensive set of software and services, comprising
real-time billing, automatic service positioning, fault management, intelligent
performance management, VoIP applications and managed network services. This is
designed to help service providers create real-time paradigm in customer service
on top of their next generation IP networks," said Datacraft president C
Dilip Kumar.
Although the price and performance curve of data networking solutions has
improved, OSS applications have not kept pace with the change. "Few tools
today can address a customer's entire enterprise network management needs and
therefore a lot of time is spent on defining, building, customizing and training
on the OSS/BSS solution instead of competing on their core competencies,"
he remarked.
The iBOSS solution focuses on addressing both technology and business issues
in the service assurance, service provisioning and accounting areas. Using iBOSS,
service providers can tap into an array of tools and solutions and can deploy
the new services expeditiously.
Datacraft will focus on three other service pillars. These include Uptime,
Primer and Insite. Insite is an online, real-time network and facility
management service that includes basic monitoring, single point accountability,
network monitoring and even complete facility management.
