Bernard Charlès, president and CEO, Dassault Systèmes highlighted that Dassault Systèmes future plans around offering the PLM software to Indian enterprises and SMEs.

Dassault Systems successfully concluded its annual 3DEXPERIENCE Forum 2014 in India. The event emphasised the criticality of manufacturing for the growth of the Indian economy. It looked at the challenges which this segment is facing and caving under. It emphasised that it is time for the segment to look at relevant technology to help it reinvent itself so that it can leverage a stupendous opportunity of growth awaiting it.

Innovation is the key to the adoption of global best practices and succeeding in an experiential economy. The experience economy is revolutionising the way companies deliver products to their consumers, and this is causing an upheaval in the industry. India needs the entire manufacturing set up to acknowledge this change and align itself to this new reality.

In this environment there is a competitive edge that Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE technology delivers; it results from going beyond simple (or complex) design and production issues into customers’ minds. It has become possible to capture and record customers’ emotions, choices and feelings and use them for competitive advantage.

Dassault Systèmes has a base of more than 4,000 customers in the SME segment within India and is looking forward to targeting the Indian SME segment with its world class PLM solutions, over cloud infrastructure. This strategy to deliver the solutions via cloud will considerably reduce the cost of accessing software that is so critical for manufacturing segment.
