“We will tap joint possibilities in accelerated product definition and joint solution development. Investments in co-product areas have been initiated but are presently at early stages. The multi-dimensional relationship will in fact be about market creation, creating larger ecosystem and consolidating our channel strategy," said Suman Bose, country director, Dassault Systèmes.

The not-yet tapped verticals like machinery and auto components would be another joint target and a major of these companies would be from the SMB bracket," said DesignTech CMD, Vikas Khanvelkar.

The company will also get aggressive on emerging segments like ship building, home-grown retail brands, life sciences, fashion and jewellery with its global PLM offerings. A suite of products from Dassault is expected to be announced next year. These would be mainly SOA–based PLM products fro the enterprise class.

Without divulging many details, Bose confirmed that Dassault is part of the much-abuzz 'One Lakh Tata Car' project. The contribution is in areas like digital lifecycle program and other product and manufacturing sides. “Tata Motors is a very honorable customer for us,” he said.

3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) major Dassault Systèmes, has announced the appointment of DesignTech as its latest Value Added Reseller in India, for end-to-end PLM solutions (CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA, SIMULIA) to the application software and services market.
