The company will offer mobile operators with an integrated solution to deliver mobile data and Internet services to their subscribers.

“Danger, which offers gaming and other mobile-internet solutions on SaaS model, will be entering the Indian market this year. The company is likely to launch its services with Airtel. The move will see a paradigm shift in the value-added services (VAS) market, as Danger has already proved to increase the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) in a tough-region like North America,” sources close to the deal told CyberMedia News.

The Danger Solutions enable the mobile service provider to drive ARPU levels through multiple revenue sources, either by recurring revenue from monthly service fees (via flat-rate data pricing) as well as premium revenue from content downloads.

Danger’s client-server architecture compresses data before it is sent to the device, reducing network usage by up to 70 per cent. The hosted solution is fully managed by Danger, quickly deployed, and offers carrier-grade billing integration and customer care tools. The standards-based Java platform complements the service providers’ deployed architecture and services.

The US-based company will give a fillip to data usage by mobile subscribers in India, through its mobile Internet solution. The company also intends to launch Danger-powered devices for the Indian market.

Danger is at present working with Sharp Corporation and Motorola Inc to manufacture the devices.
