D-Link to provide end-to-end networking solutions

HYDERABAD: Eyeing the enterprise networking market, D-link India is all set to be a one-stop shop for all the networking solutions for medium to large enterprises. "It is becoming more and more important for modern enterprises to understand the crucial role that emerging technologies can play in their businesses. The total networking solutions market within India is pegged at Rs 2,500 crore by IDC and we are in a position to target a major part of that market," said, Prabodh Vyas, Director (Sales), D-Link India.



The company has launched new products and solutions in networking and communications at its event NetVision 2003. The newly launched products include the categories of enterprise networking, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), storage & Security, internetworking, Metropolitan area networks, structured cabling and video over IP.



"We are sure that the newly launched products would increase our market share to a sizable amount as they would open up an extra marketplace of more than Rs 1,000 crore and we would be able to target around 10 percent of that," he added.



From cutting costs, improving efficiencies and sharing data to providing secure anywhere/anytime access, enabling the mobile workforces and building networks and infrastructure for tomorrow — NetVision 2003 projected the latest networks of the era which can be easily deployed within existing networks to deliver faster results.



It also showcases the importance of VoIP, which is one of the crucial area ensuring savings and feature rich applications by integrating voice, fax and data through cost effective solutions and networks. D-Link India started its operations in India in the year 1995 as part of the multinational D-Link Corporation group of Taiwan.



As of now, the company has its own software development facility manned by around 60 professionals based in Bangalore and a manufacturing unit based in Goa. The company has total end user sales revenue of Rs 274 crore from its Indian operations last year. Now with its entry into newer segments like VoIP, firewalls, digital home products and motherboards, D-Link is going all out to be a one-stop shop for all communication needs.
