D-Link forays into cloud-based products

MUMBAI, INDIA: D-Link, the networking and connectivity solutions provider today launched its ‘mydlink cloud’ product range that includes router, camera and storage. These products aim to provide consumers the view, control and digital content at anytime from anywhere.

“India is a very important market to us and one of the most competitive and mature markets today. While ‘cloud computing’ has already garnered a lot attention, it is the personal cloud that will forever change the face of networking in the future,” Tushar Sighat, D-Link (India) Limited CEO, said.

“D-Link cloud products, integrated with the mydlink platform, will offer users complete control, mobility and easy access to the most valuable functions of their devices. Going forward, most of D-Link products will come under the umbrella of mydlink cloud services,” Sighat added.

Today, technology is more e-driven by applications and mobility is the key. Hence, with the launch of mydlink cloud services, we embark on a new paradigm in consumer cloud space. D-Link cloud products will definitely enable us in enhancing customer experience and gaining maximum mind-share,” Gary Yang, D-Link (India) Limited MD said.

D-Link’s mydlink cloud platform allows consumers to use the cloud-enabled products in an effortless manner as well as manage it easily through website www.mydlink.dlink.com.

With the cloud router, any user can easily remotely control its network in real time from any location using the internet. It facilitates parents to remotely monitor their child’s browsing or surfing history anytime.

In case, any new user connects the router or makes an unauthorized intrusion, it sends notifications or e-mail alerts on handheld or computer device. The router comes in two models DIR 600L and DIR 605L at respective prices of Rs.1900 and Rs.2900.

While the cloud camera offers versatile surveillance solution for home and SOHO, it allows users to remotely monitor and vide live video feeds from any time, any locations.

Once the camera is on the network, user can access live view via iPhone or Android devices using the free mydlink application.

The camera comes with automatic day/night viewing and remote control functionality. It comes in two models DCS 930L and DCS 932L at respective prices of Rs.4299 and Rs.5499.

The cloud storage allows user to build his/her own personal cloud and effortlessly share digital content with family and friends via the mydlink web link. Here the user will need to plug a USB thumb drive or external hard drive to share and access digital media from any location in a secured manner. The cloud storage DNR 322L is priced at Rs.14000.
