Networking major D-Link has boosted its presence in the Indian motherboard

market by capturing 10 per cent market share in a short span of two months.

‘We want to triple our motherboard sales this fiscal by capturing 30 per cent
market share in India. To offer better after sales service and support to our

customers, we are also opening RMA centers specifically for motherboards in

Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Goa,’ said Rajan Sharma, product

manager-motherboards (D-Link India Ltd.).

D-Link ventured into the motherboard segment under the brand name ‘Digilink’
in September 2001. Subsequently, in February 2002, it tied up with leading

motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Ltd. to develop, manufacture and

market motherboards under the brand name ‘DigiLink-Gigabyte.’

Subsequent to this tie-up, in the first two months, D-Link sold more than 25,000
motherboards and has plans to expand its operations to SAARC regions. D-Link is

one of the few vendors providing cutting edge technology like E2 version in 810

series of Intel chipsets main boards, which provides latest ATX solution. D-Link

is also selling a large number of P4 motherboards based on Intel 845 chipset.

D-Link offers two years warranty on all these motherboards.

D-Link aims to delight Indian customers in terms of providing motherboards with
optimized and feature rich components with the latest technology. Its strategy

is to launch products which result in providing value for money to the customer

with superior quality, competitive range of products, technical expertise and

prudent after sales support backed by an exclusive nation wide distribution

network of 16 branch offices and 21 regional distributors.
