Cyberwave reduces Internet tariffs

CHENNAI, September 1: Cyberwave, a

regional Internet service provider in Chennai, is the latest to join the

bandwagon of ISPs to reduce Internet connectivity pricing. The tariff

reduction, effective from 15 August, can be availed by subscribers under

the regular, deluxe, premium and economy schemes, irrespective of the time

of purchase. The subscribers will be entitled to a 50 percent bonus on

their night hours usage also effective from 15, August.

The revised rates are: Rs 450 for 20 hours as against the earlier rate

of Rs 600 for the Demo scheme. Regular is priced at Rs 1,050 for 50 hours

against the present rate of Rs 1,400, Deluxe at Rs 2,000 for 100 hours as

against Rs 2,500, Premium is Rs 3,500 for 200 hours as against Rs 4,000,

Economy is Rs 7,000 for 500 hours as against Rs 8,000, Rhythm is priced at

Rs 1,250 for 30 mts/day as against Rs 1,250 and the freedom package is

priced at Rs 4,000 for unlimited hours as against Rs 3,000.
