“Being selected as a winner is rare recognition where 74 entries from 44 companies vied for the award. Saahas, an innovative program, brought together the best in class experts in finance, entrepreneurship and technology face to face with nearly 2000 budding entrepreneurs,” said CyberMedia chairman Pradeep Gupta while receiving the award at the Asian Publishing Convention at Manila.

Saahas, declared the most outstanding project in multimedia communication and advertising delivery in the region, was aimed at engaging the entrepreneurs in a gripping manner.

CyberMedia’s entrepreneurship magazine ‘DARE’ editors worked intensely over several months to put together a program to embody the spirit of entrepreneurship in 25 small towns and cities in India.

“Several successful case studies in the field of funding, technology, logistics and connectivity were studied and the most outstanding ones were chosen and filmed in an interesting manner with experts from State Bank, DHL, HP and Cisco,” said Krishna Kumar, group editor of ‘DARE’.

Dare editors plan to reach out the message of entrepreneurship to a much wider audience through a series of case studies and interactive sessions with experts over the next few quarters. BioSpectrum Asia, the life sciences publication from the CyberMedia group, won the Asian Publishing Award 2008 under the ‘innovative business model’ category.
