Touching on the online job board scenario in India, CyberMedia's chairman and MD, Pradeep Gupta said, " The size of the market is between Rs 70 crore to Rs 90 crore and is recording an average growth rate of 50 percent year on year. Technology job listings make for 40-50 percent of the overall job market. Tying up with Dice, which is the number one in the technology jobs segment in the US, could help CyberMedia reach a leadership position in India."

At present, the CIOL network, which consists of twelve websites, gets 750,000 unique visitors every month of which CIOL Jobs receives 120,000 unique visitors a month. " Dice's knowledge and expertise in online recruiting for technology professionals which is not available in the Indian market today, would be different from other similar services in our understanding of the needs of technology professionals and the companies that depend on them."

Dice would bring in technology and investment to ensure the growth of the new service, said Abraham E Mathew, CEO, Cyber India Online Ltd. He also informed that they would be filing for an FIPB clearance soon. The new joint venture is expected to be launched within the next three to four months.

While IT and engineering would be the main focus of the job listings, other traditional engineering segments would also be covered, said Mathew. The main revenues for the new service would come from advertisements, job packages and from recruiters.

On CyberMedia's proposed IPO, Gupta said that it was definitely on the horizon, but was not willing to comment on when it would be introduced.
