BANGALORE, INDIA: CyberMedia India Ltd, Asia’s largest specialty media house, has posted a total income of Rs 113.01 crore for the year 2007-08 as compared to Rs 97.07 crore posted during the same period previous year.
Due to one time adjustments on account of Accounting standard-15 on employee benefits and the adverse impact of depreciation of the dollar vis-à-vis the Rupee, Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) was at Rs 14 crore.
But for these reasons, EBITDA would have been over Rs 17.5 crore.
Net profit for the year was at Rs 3.88 crore.
For the fourth quarter of 2007-08, the company registered a total income of Rs 27.96 crore from Rs 23.46 crore posted during the fiscal 2006-07, driven by strong growth of 28 per cent in media services.
During the year, CyberMedia group acquired the assets of TDA group in US, which will result in entry to the global custom publishing business. The company also set up the additional facility at Noida to expand the media services business.
During the year, the company launched two new media property called DARE aimed at Entrepreneurship, and Halsbury’s Law journal in partnership with Lexis/Nexis.
