Compared to 2012, the Branding Brand Mobile Commerce Index showed the following year-over-year gains for the 46 smartphone sites tracked during both periods:

Visits increased 78.02 percent

Page views increased 103.91 percent

Average order value decreased 4.44 percent

Mobile sales increased 149.91 percent

Chris Mason, Branding Brand co-founder and CEO, said: "While visits, page views, and mobile sales increased, average order value decreased. Aggressive promotions, as well as the rise of free shipping, can impact final basket price."
