Do you feel that freshers in the industry come with only basic knowledge but don’t have right skills to fulfil job requirements? If yes, your suggestion to students and colleges?

I believe that the talent just out of their engineering schools is wonderfully resourceful and have their skills in place. However, in order to face the stiff competition and make a mark, they need to be passionate about what they are doing. A holistic collaboration effort with numerous stakeholders is absolutely necessary to hone their skills.

Also, thanks to a wonderfully evolving industry, one needs to understand the importance of “Unlearning and Relearning” and continue to learn new technologies, concepts and the likes. As they say, ‘Practice Makes Perfect’, one needs to practice until it becomes a muscle memory. Small initiatives like these would help young graduates to make a wonderful career in the tech industry.

While my all-time favorite book is ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie, I am currently reading ‘Beyond the last blue mountain’ – a book wonderfully written on the life of J.R.D Tata.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

While spare time is actually a luxury for me, I utilize whatever I get by spending it in a quality manner with my family – preferably at a quiet and serene beach in a secluded place. I also love auto racing on the race track.
