Your top priority while making decisions to improve tech infra in your organization?

While ramping up the tech infrastructure, we prioritize our actions based on the need to improve customer experience. The focus is on enhancing the ease and speed of accessing credit for the underserved Indian SME / MSME borrowers. We are also consistently looking for new ways to ensure easy exchanging of information / data between all our partners and stakeholders.

Challenges you face in driving digital transformation?

Advertisment

One prominent challenge is in making customers understand the new and evolved ways of accessing credit that we offer. A bulk of the borrowers that we cater to are used to certain processes of traditional lenders. We are changing this paradigm with online data gathering, sanctions, and fulfillment including e-KYC and E-signing of agreements instead of physical agreements. Therefore, a lot of them have to be handheld through the digital process and have to be made comfortable with the on-going digital transformation.

Do you feel that freshers in the industry come with only basic knowledge but don’t have the right skills to fulfill job requirements? If yes, your suggestion to students and colleges?

No, we don’t agree with that statement. In fact, a majority of freshers today are bright and very well aware of how things function. Our hiring is for different functions and in keeping with the profiles and skills required, our hiring includes fresh graduates as well as students from IITs and IIMs and other such institutes. However, it helps with quicker induction if students have completed shorts internships as part of the graduation program and also have been exposed to analytics and the current tech trends.
