CTS announces contract with HealthPlan

CHENNAI, August 24: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation (CTS),
an applications outsource company, announced its agreement to provide a
range of application outsourcing services to HealthPlan Services
Corporation (HPS), a health care services company.

The first project centers on re-engineering applications from a
mainframe platform to a new client-server system. In the process,
Cognizant is improving the user interfaces that make them more functional
and easier to use, and providing an upgraded path for Internet
functionality and business intelligence. Cognizant will also redesign
HPS's knowledge base of health plan insurance and policy information, a
virtual reference and marketing resource.
