CTO takes seat at Persistent Systems

PUNE, INDIA: Persistent Systems has announced the appointment of Dr. Siddhartha (Sid) Chatterjee to the position of Chief Technology Officer. He is based in the U.S.

Dr. Anand Deshpande, CEO of Persistent Systems commented that:

Sid Chatterjee, Chief Technology Officer of Persistent Systems said, “This is an exciting time to join Persistent. Dr. Chatterjee received his undergraduate degree in electronics and electrical communications engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1985 and his Ph.D in computer science in 1991 from Carnegie Mellon University.  At his 13-year career at IBM, he held multiple technical, strategic, managerial and executive positions across IBM Research, IBM Systems & Technology Group and IBM Global Technology Services. Prior to that, Dr. Chatterjee was an assistant and associate professor of computer science at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from 1994 through 2001, and a postdoctoral scientist at the Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science (RIACS) at Moffett Field, California from 1991 through 1994.
