In July 2010, CSL and ZTE have announced the deployment of 1800 MHz/2600 MHz dual-band LTE network and the upgrade of the 3G network to the Dual Cell technology with peak speeds of 42Mbps.

Since the end of 2009, ZTE and CSL have been testing LTE with pre-commercial LTE USB modems and field trials conducted showed peak download speeds reaching up to 100Mbps in the streets of Hong Kong.

“Launching LTE and Dual Cell HSPA simultaneously is a technological challenge rarely seen before. We have been successful in providing CSL with a solution that will provide exceptional performance to CSL customers” said Xu Ming, VP, Wireless Products, ZTE.
