Creating quality manpower for IT industry

PUNE: TIBCO Software Inc and the International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) today announced an academic partnership designed to prepare students for the business world.

As part of the academic initiative TIBCO would provide Pune-based I2IT with its business integration software at no charge to ensure the necessary skills, training and knowledge transfer to succeed in the rapidly changing global information technology market.

Addressing the joint press meet Ram Menon, senior vice president, Worldwide Marketing, TIBCO, said that establishing strong partnerships with key academia will help infuse software integration and real-time business into education to ensure skills match market demand to create innovative solutions for years to come.

Commenting on the initiative Prof Krishna Moorthy, director, I2IT said such collaboration would help in creating quality manpower for the IT industry.

Engineers from the TIBCO Pune Development Center would provide practical hands-on training to ensure that the students at I2IT receive the highest levels of mentoring.

TIBCO is looking forward to more such alliances in India and talks are already on in this regard.
